Dr. Tom LunneyBSc (Hons), MSc, P.G.C.E, PhD, MIEEE, MBCS received his degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Queen’s University Belfast, and is now a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science in the University of Ulster. He has carried out and directed research and teaching for over twenty years and is currently Course Director for postgraduate study in the School of Computing and Intelligent Systems where he manages a masters in Computing and Intelligent Systems which is closely affilitated with the Intelligent Systems Research Centre.
He research areas include concurrent and distributed systems, artificial intelligence and multi-modal computing. He has published widely and presented papers at a range of International Conferences and participated in the organising committees for many highly-respected international conferences and workshops. He has taught at a number of other institutions including the Queens University Belfast and The University of Pau, France.
