From Brain Science to Intelligent Machines

Hubert Cecotti received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Lorraine, France in 2002 and 2005, respectively. In 2006 and 2007, he was a lecturer in computer science at the University Henri Poincare and ESIAL, Nancy, France. From 2008 to 2013, he was successively a research scientist at the Institute of Automation, Bremen University, Bremen, Germany, at Gipsa-lab CNRS in Grenoble, France, and at the University of California Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, where he has worked on EEG signal processing and detection of brain responses applied on brain-computer interfaces. His research interests include artificial neural networks, pattern recognition, and brain-computer interfaces.
